Say Hello to the New AcuTake
By Sara Calabro
In honor of AcuTake‘s recent second birthday, we’ve given it a major facelift. If you’re reading this in an email, head over to the homepage to check out the new design.
With AcuTake content now running on The Huffington Post, GreenMedInfo, Elephant Journal and other popular websites, a lot of new people are finding their way to the site. We felt a new design was in order, one that better serves our growing audience by providing easier access to our content, acupuncturist directory, and products.
We also just like to keep things fresh, to ensure that our readers and we don’t get bored. Continual reinvention reflects the dynamic spirit of acupuncture.
What’s New on the New AcuTake?
New homepage
Through listening to reader feedback and studying our traffic reports, we created a homepage that highlights our most popular resources, hopefully making them easier to find.
Newbie resource
As I mentioned, we’ve been getting a lot of new visitors lately. We gathered together some of our best content to help AcuTake newbies get started. Check it out here.
Responsive design
This new design adapts to whatever device you’re using. Try it out on another computer, or an iPad or iPhone, and it’ll adjust.
Contributing writers page
We’ve been very pleased to welcome several new voices to AcuTake. Meet our regular contributing writers here.
Acupuncturist resource center
AcuTake was created for “regular people,” meaning those who are not acupuncturists. But in creating a resource for non-acupuncturists, we wound up with a lot of beneficial information for people who are acupuncturists. Resources for acupuncturists are available here.
What You Can Do
Let us know what you think! This redesign was largely driven by reader feedback, and we’ll continue to implement changes based on user preferences. So please tell us what’s working for you and what’s not.
And tell your friends! While you’re browsing around the new site, please share or re-share any articles that you enjoy. We’d really appreciate it.

Looks great! I love the new front page — I think it says more ‘organization’ and less ‘blog’. I also like reading about your new contributors. I hope you see lots of positive results.
Thanks a lot, Asatar. That’s what we were going for—to expand beyond just a blog. Glad you like it and I look forward to speaking soon.

Heya are using WordPress for your site platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m
trying to get started and set up my own. Do you need any coding knowledge to make your own blog?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
